ASEC Company for Mining “Ascom”, was established in 1999 as a subsidiary of the mother company, Arab Swiss Engineering Company (ASEC).
Ascom has a loyal notion and a distinct insight to be a representative pillar for the geology & mining industry in Egypt and to implant strong roots in the field in not only Egypt but Africa and the Middle East. Continuing on its 25-year mission, it celebrated a Silver Jubilee in 2024.
The legacy the company had built, and how much it set out to achieve, heavily inspired the management to create industries that depend on local raw materials, thus in 2009 Ascom for Carbonates and Chemical Manufacture ( ACCM ) was established and started production of Calcium Carbonate. Later on, Glassrock insulation company for the production of Glasswool and Rockwool set off in 2012.
During long years of hard work, Ascom created and maintained an excellent host of caliber geologists, engineers and chemists, with the necessary financial, human resources and information technology personnel. These are the real capital of Ascom.

Ascom’s ambitions for the future lie within the vast continent Africa, with huge earth riches, and impressive geology. Ascom, fueling its young generations, is eager to expand as much as it can inside Africa, offering an interface between sciences, and many field applications for discovering the hidden mineral wealth, to be extracted for industrial use. Together the Geology, Mining and Industry can place our extravagant continent at the level it deserves.
